A4Tech sends you everything you could need for this mouse for a while to come. With that, and all the features, this was a cool package to open up. V3 Bloody Gun3 PerformanceWhen looking at the performance of a mouse, a lot of different factors come into play. Not only is it important to note how well a mouse does at its intended task, for example, headshotting your enemies, but it is also important that it fills all the other roles you need. Photo editing, internet browsing, other video games, all these come into play when you are evaluating the performance of a mouse.
While testing this mouse, I played multiple first person shooters (Crysis, Halo, Battlefield) as well as my usual MMOs, other third person games (Darskiders II). I also worked in GIMP, Photoshop and Firefox/Chrome.
Disclaimer: I do not usually play tons of FPS games. However, even though I don't play lots of them, I do notice the issues that plague many FPS gamers. Muscle fatigue, as well as recoil, are something that this mouse assists in eliminating. The auto-recoil suppression provided a noticeable improvement in my shot groupings, as well as the real-time traajectory adjustment. The multiple cores allowed me to switch between games comfortably and easily, although the DPI does feel a little bit low.
The macro editing software did it's job, allowing me to create macros to execute multiple commands in games with one button press. V3 Bloody Gun3 ConclusionIMPORTANT: Although the rating and final score mentioned in this conclusion are made to be as objective as possible, please be advised that every author perceives these factors differently at various points in time. While we each do our best to ensure that all aspects of the product are considered, there are often times unforeseen market conditions and manufacturer changes which occur after publication that could render our rating obsolete. Please do not base any purchase solely on our conclusion as it represents our product rating specifically for the product tested, which may differ from future versions of the same product. Benchmark Reviews begins our conclusion with a short summary for each of the areas that we rate. Beginning with features, the V3 Bloody Gun3 offers many different features, almost all of which are tailored towards FPS gamers. While my experience is limited, I did feel that it delivered on its feature claims, and definitely did notice an improvement in my shooting in FPS games. As for the multi-core system, this is an absolute bonus for me as I switch between multiple games. The lens stayed clean and I wasn't having to blow it out every few days, even when using the mouse on my bed. I noticed a slight difference in the response time between this mouse and my current one, which was interesting to adjust to.
Appearance is the next category, and the V3 Bloody Gun3 delivers here as well. Combining a sleek design, with a really cool pulsing handprint, and a black and red wrapped cord, this mouse has a cool factor. The rubberized top adds to the look of this mouse, as well as providing a comfortable grip surface. It's difficult to really grade something like appearance, as appearance is subjective, but I liked the look of this mouse. The mouse is constructed well, with a durable feel, even though it is a light mouse. The finish is solid on the mouse, and the cord is wrapped well. The lens is kept well-protected, and the buttons click firmly. For performance, there are some concrete benchmarks that can be done simply through using the mouse in your day to day computer life. With the V3 Bloody Gun3, the performance was tested in different games. I noticed a large difference between my accuracy before using the V3 Bloody, and after, with the increase being from the mouse. The only thing I would have liked extra was a higher DPI sensor, and that's mostly because I run two high def screens. As of February 2013, the A4Tech V3 Bloody Gun3 retails for $32.00 (Newegg / Amazon). For a gaming mouse with all the features this boasts, it is very economical. It's difficult to get any gaming mouse for that price, much less one with any discernible features. An excellent entry from A4Tech for the budget mouse department.Pros: |
